Be a Friend of NRICS
The majority of the "Friends" of NRI Community Services are people who support the work we do. We call on Friends for advice or assistance when needed. The following is some information to help you decide if you would like to become a Friend:
- Friends include clients of NRICS, family members of clients, and representatives of the community, including staff, who live or work in the areas we serve.
- Friends may be appointed to various standing and ad-hoc committees of the NRI Community Services Board of Directors.
- Friends are often appointed by the Board to represent NRICS on other local or Statewide Boards.
- Friends are often drawn upon to fill vacant seats on the Board of Directors.
- Friends may, from time to time, be contacted to ask if they can provide volunteer assistance on fundraising events, State or local budget hearings, or in other advisory capacities.
- Friends can join or resign any time of the year. Friends can recommend others who may be interested in joining this group.
- Friends may include former Board members, former staff and former clients who can no longer help us out on projects, but wish to remain on our mailing list for newsletters or special events.
