What to expect when you call Emergency Services
When you call the Emergency Services phone number, a clinical staff person will immediately ask you for your name, address and telephone number. If you are calling for someone else, the ES clinician will ask for the same information for that person. It is important that the ES staff person have that contact information immediately in case s/he has to send immediate assistance or the telephone connection is broken.
If you are calling for another person, the ES clinician may ask if it is possible to speak to that individual. If it is not, they will continue to collect information from you. The ES clinician will conduct a risk assessment based on the information gathered and provide immediate directions and recommendations
