Residential & Supported Housing ServicesIntensive Residential ServicesIntensive residential mental health and/or substance abuse treatment is available for adults needing 24-hour supervision and support. The primary goal of Residential Services is to provide the optimal level of support and supervision to assist clients in reaching their goals pertaining to living, learning and working in the community as independently as possible. NRICS operates two group homes and three 24/7 supervised apartment buildings located throughout the northern Rhode Island area. We also operate Wilson House, a residential substance abuse treatment facility in Pawtucket. All of these facilities provide integrated mental health and substance abuse treatment services for residents with co-occurring disorders. These residences are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by psychiatrists, nurses, licensed and masters level clinicians, clinical case managers and treatment aides. Services
Residential Substance Abuse TreatmentRobert J. Wilson House/Mabel Anderson HouseResidential Substance Abuse Services are provided at the Robert J. Wilson House, commonly referred to as Wilson House, and the Mabel Anderson House. Both houses are located on the same property near downtown Pawtucket. These homes provide a home-like atmosphere to 24 male residents with substance abuse or co-occurring substance abuse and mental illness or other mental health problems. EligibilityAdmission is based on standardized patient placement criteria. Contracts are in place to serve Neighborhood Health Plan, United Health, Veterans Administration, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and uninsured clients. Supported Housing & Assisted LivingAssistance for clients in obtaining and maintaining safe and affordable housing that meet their needs based on their progress in the recovery process. Transitional Community HousingServes males, age 18 or older, who have a history of substance abuse problems and who have been sober for at least thirty days. The Capitol Hill Sober House (veterans only) in Providence and the Theodore "Teddy" Jackson House in Pawtucket, provide a safe, sober environment for men in early recovery from substance abuse so they can incorporate the skills that they have learned in residential, outpatient and self-help services into their daily lives. Permanent Community HousingServes males and females over 18 years of age who have a chronic mental illness, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, or other physical disability. Applicants must meet HUD and Rhode Island Housing eligibility requirements. Shelter Plus Care HousingServes males and females over 18 years of age, who have a chronic mental illness, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, or other physical disability and need rental assistance. Persons must meet HUD and Rhode Island Housing eligibility requirements. |
